As Chapter President, I am deeply honored to serve along with phenomenal and committed women of this dynamic organization through intentional programming that addresses the needs of our service area, region, and nation. ​

The Legacy

​

Founded on January 13, 1913, our national organization provides the vision of promoting excellent public service programs that positively impact our community. The Charleston Alumnae Chapter, chartered on November 15, 1940, continues the legacy of creating and implementing transformative programs for our community and our members. We have been a pillar in the Charleston area for more than 84 years and provide an array of programming and services through the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

Greetings and welcome to the Charleston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!

It is my distinct honor to serve as President as we embark upon the 2026–2028 biennium guided by our theme, “Rooted in Service. United in Sisterhood.”

​

For more than eight decades, the Charleston Alumnae Chapter has remained deeply rooted in the principles upon which our illustrious Sorority was founded. Our roots are strengthened by the legacy of those who came before us, our unwavering commitment to public service, and our dedication to addressing the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

We also recognize that our greatest impact is achieved when we stand united. Sisterhood is the bond that connects us, sustains us, and inspires us to serve with enthusiasm, excellence, and purpose. Together, we will cultivate meaningful relationships, strengthen our chapter, and continue creating programs that educate, empower, and uplift.

Throughout this biennium, we will honor our rich history while embracing new opportunities to serve, lead, and grow. Just as strong roots produce beautiful blooms, we believe that when our service is firmly grounded and our sisterhood is united, our collective impact will flourish.
